The 10th & final Nahom Berhane Scholarship is now open!

Thanks to the generous support of the CIBC Foundation and our incredible community of individual donors, in 2025 we will be awarding six scholarships of $4,000 each!

Each year, the launch of this Scholarship marks the start of our Black History Month celebrations. With this year’s BHM theme, “Legacy and Leadership,” it couldn’t be more fitting to honor Nahom Berhane, a remarkable young leader who dedicated his life to uplifting others and building a more equitable and inclusive Canada.
